Brau Beviale 2010: successful industry get-together

Brau Beviale 2010 invited beverage specialists to Nürnberg from 10-12 November and the European beverage industry turned out in force: 1,348 exhibitors and 32,617 technical and commercial management experts poured into the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg.

A remarkable 96% of the specialists from breweries and malting houses, producers of non-alcoholic drinks (a good 2 % more visitors than in 2008) and suppliers to the brewing and beverage industry were thoroughly satisfied with the exhibition. With a share of over 30 %, the number of visitors from abroad at the world's most important capital goods exhibition for the industry in 2010 was appreciably higher - mainly from Italy, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Great Britain, France, Denmark, the Czech Republic and other countries of Central Eastern and Eastern Europe. As expected, the German visitors came mainly from the beer state of Bavaria, followed by Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and the Rhineland Palatinate. The proportion of women visiting was as large as almost 14 %.

93 % of the exhibitors rate their overall success at Brau Beviale 2010 positively. 94 % made new business connections and 91 % are hoping for noticeable follow-up business.

Especially important aspects for the visitors are cultivating existing business contacts and making new ones, exchanging views, training, market orientation, and preparing for investment decisions. They are traditionally mainly interested in the largest product segment technology (57 %, multiple answers), followed by raw materials (41 %), almost level-pegging with operating and laboratory equipment, energy management, working materials and packaging materials, services, marketing, catering equipment and beverage logistics.
