The printhead of the 4020 coder has been equipped with new components and a new electronic solution has been adopted. This new “Ink Efficient” printhead enables better control of ink drops, which remain evenly sized over time. The result is print quality that is significantly and durably enhanced as well as lower ink consumption. In addition, to guarantee maximum operating uptime and minimize downtime, the 4020 coder can be fitted with large capacity 30-liter ink barrels. It also incorporates an ink management system ensuring ink barrels are always fully emptied. “All these innovations lead to ink savings of up to 15%,” indicates Leslie Tan, 4000 Series Product Manager at Markem-Imaje. These improvements are in addition to the already numerous benefits of the 4020 coder:

• backlit widescreen graphic display with print preview and intuitive operator interface in the local language;

This instant dry, solvent-free ink will never bleed or fade for the life of the case.  Barcodes printed with TouchDry® technology are reliably 100 percent readable and GS1 compliant. A key differentiator of Touch Dry® inks is that they can be delivered on a wide range of substrates and environments ranging from 0º to 40º C, boasting print speeds up to 182 m/min. The 5800 Hot Melt Inkjet Printer offers improved form and function to the existing 5000 series printers including a smaller footprint design, next-generation user interface, usability and integration features and lower energy consumption to meet current market requirements.
