Markem-Imaje reinforces its position as a coding and marking provider coming on Interpack 2011 with two new products: the ink-jet industrial printer 9232 and the thermal transfer printer SmartDate X40. The new marking units succeed in achieving the ambitious goal of combining improved performances with commitment for eco-sustainability.
9232 marking unit in particular is the cutting-edge model of the 9000 range to print expiry dates, logos, alphanumerical texts and 1D and 2D barcodes for the food farming and beverage, pharma, cosmetics, electronic, cables and extrusion sectors. 9232 stands out due to its improved, and for the first time measurable, share of use availability, as well as for the reduced use of consumption materials: from studies a cost cutting of up to 20% is achieved as against the technologies provided by main competitors. Moreover the machine consists by 80% of recyclable materials, it offers new cheton-free inks and MEK and it complies with RoHS regulations.
SmartDate X40 thermal transfer printer has been designed to print at high speed a meaningful number of complex information on flexible packaging films, it gets a better cost control thanks to an optimum and bright management of all the operations and the optimisation of the belt use. The belt length extension to 1,100 meters enables to reduce the replacement operations, while the new direct belt dragging technology allows to eliminate preventive maintenance operations. All these combined characteristics determine a meaningful improvement in terms of production levels.
