SEA Vision and Marchesini Group together at Emballage 2010

Marchesini Group, a worldwide leader in the production of pharmaceutical packaging machines, will be attending “Emballage 2010”, the international packaging trade show to take place in Paris from 22nd to 25th November, at SEA Vision’s stand (Hall 5A - Stand no. H007), a leading producer of vision systems for the pharmaceutical industry.

Marchesini’s participation at “Emballage 2010” c/o SEA Vision’s stand witnesses the gainful business relationship between the two enterprises that gives life to complete cutting-edge systems for the serialization (track&trace) of pharmaceutical products: innovative solutions aimed at satisfying visual control and labelling requisites enforced by standards in various countries across the world.

The solutions of SEA Vision – Marchesini, which are already known on the international market and used successfully by various pharmaceutical enterprises, are able to efficiently meet the track&trace standards currently in force.

Role leader at the stand of SEA Vision during Emballage will be the compact and flexible “BL300 TT” machine, equipped with positive motion carton conveyor, which indeed has a toothed belt system that guarantees step motion infeed and is built ergonomically, with the main objective in mind being the operator.

The “BL300 TT” machine has an ink printer that prints on the front or on both sides of the carton, for 2D Datamatrix codes and other variable data, plus a vision system that performs control functions via the camera supplied by SEA Vision. The OCV vision system controls 2D Datamatrix codes and other variable data pursuant to track&trace standards, verifying the following in particular.

OCV is connected to the printer so that the user can program the strings to be printed and can transfer information related to the codes. At the end of the control phase, the OCV device provides the PLC of the packaging machine with the information related to cartons to be rejected. The OCV system consists of a computer installed inside a mechanical structure that also houses the monitor with touch-screen, to carry out programming functions, high resolution digital cameras, which do not require any manual adjustments because they are managed exclusively via software and lighting system based on the use of LED technology.
