What are the key distinguishing features of Citus Kalix’s portfolio? How do you adapt to the fast-changing trends of the health and beauty industry?
Citus Kalix is able to provide to the health, beauty and cosmetic industries a full wide range of solutions - from primary packaging to secondary packaging machines, Case Packers and Palletizers. In the fast-moving cosmetics and personal care market, manufacturers need packaging solutions that combine productivity, flexibility and consistent quality. Citus Kalix addresses these needs with compact integrated technologies designed to streamline production and reduce manual operations. Our main focus is to provide cutting-edge solutions that can be both stand-alone machines and fully integrated packaging lines. So, basically, we are not just selling machines, but we are also supporting our customers from the design phase to installation and beyond, backing them for maintenance, modernization and whatever it takes to continue developing their machine. Our solutions are distinguished by their usability: they are easy to handle, typically require no additional tools and enable fast operation, including quick format changeovers.
Which technologies are in the spotlight?
At Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, Citus Kalix showcased a compact integrated line for tube filling and cartoning, designed to streamline production and reduce manual operations. The solution combines automated tube feeding, high-precision filling and sealing, and reliable cartoning within a single coordinated workflow. By integrating advanced automation with intuitive machine control, the line supports stable and continuous production, even when handling a wide range of tube formats and product types. This approach allows manufacturers to maintain consistency and quality while adapting to different production requirements, reducing operational complexity and ensuring a more controlled and repeatable process over time.
At the core of the system is the KX1103 EVO tube filling machine, engineered for accurate dosing and high-quality sealing of plastic, laminate and aluminum tubes. The machine can reach speeds of up to 110 tubes per minute and supports fast, user-friendly format changeovers, enabling operators to switch efficiently between formats while maintaining productivity and process stability. This combination of speed and flexibility makes it suitable for both stable production runs and more variable manufacturing environments.
Upstream, the KX Robot Feeder automatically feeds empty tubes into the filling machine through robotic handling, ensuring continuous operation and eliminating manual loading. This contributes to improved efficiency, reduces the risk of interruptions and supports a more stable and consistent production flow, particularly in applications where continuity and repeatability are critical. Downstream, the KP800 EVO cartoner completes the process by inserting finished tubes into cartons with reliable performance and flexible format management. Its integration ensures a seamless transition from primary to secondary packaging, maintaining production continuity and simplifying overall line management within a compact footprint, while supporting different carton formats and production needs.
Together, the KX Robot Feeder, KX1103 EVO filler and KP800 EVO cartoner create a streamlined and efficient packaging solution that enables cosmetics and personal care manufacturers to increase productivity, reduce downtime and maintain consistent product quality throughout the entire packaging process, while ensuring reliable performance across different production conditions. This line will be expanded with a Case Packer and Palletizer in Düsseldorf, at Interpack 2026.
What are the main advantages of this integrated packaging line in terms of flexibility, efficiency, and product quality?
The integrated solution combines automated tube feeding, high-precision filling and sealing, and flexible cartoning capabilities within a single coordinated system. Fast format changeovers support increased production flexibility, allowing manufacturers to respond quickly to changing requirements without compromising efficiency or process stability.
